In a recent article, The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) has shared the impact of Covid-19 on the global library field. Libraries across the globe have suffered and faced hard choices on the conventional way of service delivery and to reach out to patrons. In many countries, entire public library systems were collapsed which created a gap in physical libraries and users. Not only public libraries but institutional libraries across 106 countries were affected by the closure of the schools, colleges and universities.
To abridge this gap many libraries have started adopting the digital library tools which would help them in providing access to all the resources remotely. Many institutions which earlier thought digitization as a luxury have now made it a necessity.
Not only in the library space but all types of businesses have also got affected due to the shutdown. When businesses were making losses and because of shrunk demand, MyLOFT happened to be in a bunch of companies which increased their target base in this lockdown.
