The first challenge was undoubtedly the acquisition of content according to the needs of students and teachers with the assigned budget and then, finding a way to make it available to the entire community in a simple way, for which MyLOFT was hired.

“The MyLOFT digital library means an entry into technology, it is the first step to access the modernization of education”

Involve the student community Since there was little staff, a call was launched to invite students to collaborate with the library and they were responsible for training their classmates in the use of digital resources. They became the most important promoters since they Make recommendations according to your needs and using your same language.

An institutional tool, the University has made a significant effort to consolidate MyLOFT as the single access point for research, it has worked with teachers to use digital resources, their activity is monitored and surveys are carried out to find out their needs.

Constant promotion In addition to the training carried out by library staff and interns, creative tutorials and videos are created and shared on social networks to attract the attention of students, in the same way recommendations are periodically sent of the most consulted titles.

Without a doubt, an important indicator is having teachers registered in RENACYT (National Scientific, Technological and Technological Innovation Registry), so the future challenge is to have 100% of the staff in this category.

For the university, it is a priority to continue incorporating technology into the teaching-learning process, which is why it will continue to make the necessary efforts to bring modernity to UNICA students and teachers.
