British Council Library rolls out MyLOFT app-based services in 16 countries

After the initial launch of mobile app-based services on July 16, 2020, the iconic British Council Library has rolled out the digital library app in 16 more countries including India. 

Backed by MyLOFT (My Library on Finger Tips) the British Council Library has now been transformed into the digital library in 16 countries where subscribed eBooks, newspapers, magazines, journals, audio, videos, and films have been made available for its vast users ranging from kids to adults to academicians.

In the South Asian region, British Council Library has gone live in four countries – India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Afghanistan while from the Maghreb region, Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia were selected to provide seamless online access to its patrons.

Covering the African region, the British Council Library takes a digital-first approach and has launched MyLOFT app-based services in five countries namely Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone. The British Council Library has also gone live in Myanmar in East Asia and Kuwait and UAE in the Gulf region.
